🌾 Local Culture & Heritage in Pleszew (Wielkopolska)
Pleszew, situated in the historic Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region, is famed for its rich folk customs, traditional harvest festivals (Dożynki), distinctive wooden architecture, and centuries of railway and agrarian heritage.
Through this Erasmus+ digital storytelling initiative, students in Pleszew explore historical archives, interview elderly community members, and capture local folk songs, craft techniques, and legends. Their digital stories preserve the soul of Wielkopolska traditions for contemporary European audiences.
🌍 Role in the Erasmus+ Project
The school plays an instrumental role in developing youth-friendly digital media methodologies. Polish students collaborate with peers from Dr. Serafim Leite (Portugal) and Özel İlgi Anadolu Lisesi (Türkiye) to co-create interactive cultural presentations, digital picture books, and video stories.
Pleszew also hosts transnational learning activities where teachers and students share best practices in combining classroom learning with cultural fieldwork.
